Week 20 : Text : Scoresheet of Match between The Hollywood Cricket Club and The Elphington Bioscope Company XI

The Elphington Bioscope Company of Mumbai India, in Hollywood to promote their alternate history epic, Age of Conquests, were invited to play a game of cricket against the Hollywood Cricket Club, led by H.B. Warner, at the club's ground at Griffith Park, Burbank, on July 6th, 1927. The match was abandoned after prolific batsman for the tourists and future Test Captain of India, C.K. Nayudu, was caught by a spectator picnicking beyond the boundary rope, young actress Lillian Gish. Hollywood CC claimed her as a substitute fieldsman and the wicket taken, prompting furious objections from the Indian camp. Captain and founder of The Elphington Bioscope Company declared his team victorious by default, proclaiming, "This is not the only game we will beat you yankee bastards at."
